Release date: April 29, 2014

Review: Shrinkage is a heartfelt and funny book by cancer survivor Bryan Bishop aka “Bald Bryan.” I discovered Bald Bryan while listing to the The Adam Carolla Show in the car with my husband. Bald Bryan is a master of sound-effects and Adam Carolla’s on-air sidekick. The book chronicles Bald Bryan’s diagnosis and recovery from an inoperable tumor on his brain stem. Bryan is a wonderful writer with a fantastic sense of humor. His experience creates a special bond with the reader as he deals honestly with topics such as depression, anger, fear, relationships and family, all the while facing his mortality. This book contains a love story that will melt your heart. Newly engaged Bryan details the tremendous support and love of his fiancée Christie. The bright future and fun loving life of this smart and successful couple is instantly turned into a routine of radiation and chemotherapy. Shrinkage is so much more than a story about a cancer battle. This book is a moving and enlightening must read for anyone who has been through a tough illness (or know someone who has).
Recommendation: Amazing and brilliant! This book is uplifting and I am so glad Bryan shared his story with us. Once I picked Shrinkage up, I couldn’t put it down. You will be so thankful you read this book!
